Cole Johnson

The reason I love design and storytelling is the ability to make an idea go from the abstract to something more concrete. While I have many passions, studying visual communications at school has allowed me to express my uniqueness and allow for others voices to also be heard simultaneously.

As a soon to be graduate from SPU, I have become skilled over my trials and time spent at Adobe design software along with the design process as a whole. In learning typography, motion, art history and the branding of design, I now feel as though I can finally use my skills to help others achieve their design goals and individual challenges.

Outside of design work, I am an artist, a photographer, a musician and even a director

I am excited to see where my artistry and passion towards video creation will lead me

I am very much inclined to learn more about other styles and skills involved with photograpy.

As of now my subject matter consists mainly of portraits, landscapes, architecture and wildlife when they happen to grace my presence.

Photography

I developed a love for photography from a young age mainly in part due to my mother who is a professional photographer. Learning how to harness light to create solidifed memories and stories has been one of my favorite artforms to find myself through. I have grown in experience in the last few years to be able now use Lightroom to edit, color grade and shoot in differen lighting situations. I had a period of shooting on analog film for a few years but switched back to the digital format when I got a Fujifilm X-T4.

“To me there is a lot of crossover between the mediums I use, so it is exciting to see the

skill gaps merge as I further improve in my ability”
